This is a somewhat odd thing for me to write as, to be really honest, I don't care for blogs.

Maybe it's because all they really do is allow people to proclaim their thoughts to anyone who will click through and let those same folks comment back (often in a screeching way). I'm not really the kind of guy who wants the world to know what I think or what I believe.

I built my career as a journalist, first as a newspaper reporter, then as a magazine writer, and finally as a Web news editor. I see myself as a storyteller, not a pundit or an oracle.

So this blog will be about finding and telling stories, big and small. You'll see some commentary, but I hope not too much (save for the occassional review).
